Rental of all or portions of our facility is available seven days a week (limited availability during regular hours of operation, call for more information)
 * We are closed on most nationally recognized  holidays and we are closed for normal daily activities during any elections so that SACS can be used as a polling place.

The Senior Activity Center Commission meets

at the Center on the third Wednesday of

every month at 8 AM. The Mayor’s appointed

committee meetings are open to the public.

The Friends of the Senior Activity Center board

meetings the fourth Wednesday of each

month at 8:00 AM. If you have an item you would like to see on the agenda please see Wendy Schmitz.

Elder Benefits Specialist

Pat Hafermann, Elder Benefits Specialist, from the  Aging and Disability Resource Center will be here once a month by appointment.

Gertrude and Olivia Andersen Wellness Summit: Session 3

We are honored to be able to bring you this program due to the Gertrude and Olivia Andersen Wellness Grant. This year the sessions will include a one hour workshop and lunch, occurring monthly between March and October. Each session will be based on one of the eight dimensions of wellness. Sign up for the ones that interest you most. Due to limited space and numerous “no-shows” in the past, we will be charging a refundable $10 deposit to reserve your spot per session. Limited to 30 participants, so please register.

OBJECTIVE: “Recognizing creative abilities and

finding ways to expand knowledge

and skills.”

TOPIC: Tap into your creative side as Hannah Jakus from the John Michael Kohler Art Center helps us develop our ideal city.

What would your ideal city block look like?

Design the whole block or think of an area you would like to develop. Using an 8in x 8in work surface, construct a 3-D depiction of what your city block would look like.

When finished, the newly developed city blocks will be placed together to form a city.

Annual Meeting


The Friends of the Senior Activity Center Annual Meeting and Dinner will be held at El Camino’s. This is your opportunity to thank our outgoing board members and vote in and welcome new members. A year in review will be presented by Wendy and the Board.


Taco Bar dinner provided. Cash bar available.

Trusts, Estates, & Powers of Attorney

We have heard all about how Trusts, Estates, and Powers of Attorney work from the financial planning angle. Now it is time to hear about it from an attorney’s perspective. During this 3 part series, Attorney Alison Petri, from the law firm Steimle Birschbach, will bring her legal expertise to the table and explain more in depth what exactly is a Trust, an Estate, and Powers of Attorney and how they can help us and our loved ones.
